Dear Air Cushion Vehicle enthusiast,
The Queensland branch of The Australian Hovercraft Federation held a planning meeting on Tuesday,
16th August 2011, at the RC primary school, 350 Mortimer Road, Acacia Ridge.
This meeting was attended by:-

Visitors for the evening were Rita Chaffey.
Cruise report - Muriel Street, Redland Bay - Saturday 13th August 2011.
The last club cruise was held on Saturday 13th August 2011 launching from 96 Muriel Street, Redland Bay courtesy of Peter Venn. Those attending the cruise were:-
Peter Venn - Expo Turbo.
Des Goss - Simple Cyclone (Aqua-Terra).
Leigh Parkes and Tracey Stephen - Flying Fish Marlin.
Steven Odgaard and Rita Chaffey - Turbo TP6 (Girl Friday) courtesy of Peter.
Visitors attending the cruise were:-
Adam Cullen, Ashleigh Cullen and Daniel Cullen.
We met at the boat ramp at 96 Muriel Street Redland Bay at 9:00 am and Des Goss took Adam Cullen in the Simple Cyclone while Peter Venn took Ashleigh and Daniel in the Expo Turbo for an exciting spin on the Redland Bay Channel.
After the joy rides had finished the four craft launched in the channel and travelled down the Logan River and east to Russell Island, pulling up on the beach at the Lions Park to find a pleasant spot for morning tea. and met Stephen Venn who is living on the island. Returned to Lagoon Passage at 11:30 am and farewelled Leigh and Tracey. Set off again for an afternoon cruise to Coochiemudlo Island. Had lunch at the Jetty café. Flathead chips 4 cups of tea and a Rough nut caramel Maxibon. Returned safely at 3:30 pm
Annual General Meeting:-
As there was no quorum at the August meeting, the Annual General Meeting was adjourned and will
be re-convened at the next meeting on Tuesday 20th September 2011.
Reports will need to be ready for this meeting.
New committee members required for nomination - Election of office bearers.
Next club cruise:-
The next club cruise will be held on Saturday 17th September 2011 at Muriel St, Redland Bay.
Meet at 9:00 am at Peter Venn's place at 96 Muriel St, Redland Bay for a launch into the Redland
Bay Channel and a run around the southern bay islands.

Next Queensland branch meeting:
The next club meeting will be the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 20th September 2011 at 7:30pm.
It will be held in the Staff Room at Our Lady of Fatima RC primary school, 350 Mortimer Road Acacia Ridge.
