Cruise report - Wellington Point - Sunday, 30th November 2003.

Dear Air Cushion Vehicle enthusiast,
The club cruise on Sunday, 30th November was attended by Des Goss, Peter Frankland, Geoff Langford and Steven Odgaard. The weather was fine and cool and the wind was a mere 3 to 5 knots from the south east.
Des had a great time with his Turbo Wedge 225 which is powered by a Robin EC44pm two stroke. Peter Frankland went for a fun ride with Des over the shallow waters and sand banks around Wellington Point.
Geoff assisted Steven to adjust the point gap on the Billy Baker lift engine and then took photographs as the twin engined ACV displaying its new Maroon and Bentley Grey colour scheme finally took to the water for a quick run out to King Island and back.

Many thanks to Geoff Langford for this photo.

The local dog catcher paid us a visit as we were packing up, to advise us that we were breaking Council rules by driving on the bitumen section beyond the concrete boatramp. He also suggested that the two craft operating together were a noise problem on a Sunday morning. This is the first time I can recall having a conflict since we first started launching hovercraft from Wellington Point back in 1982.
Phillip and Kerri Audsley gave their apologies.
Angus Kerr and Len Challen were interstate visiting Taree, Stoney Creek, Woollongong and Nowra.

Thanks Steve,
I can assure you, any hoverer comes knocking at my door to go hovering is very welcome, my address is 29 Churchill Street, Maryborough, Queensland.
Please give us a call prior to arrival, to ensure I am available to do so. Unlike many of you jokers out there just wasting your time hovering about the bloody place, (Lucky buggers), SOME of us have to go to work; SO, please phone or drop us a line before landing on the door-step.
Mind you, if I am at home, you will definitely have a willing partner to make it a two hover cruise. Thank you for the plug Steve, very nice of you. OH, by the way Steve, I am now insured with Advantage Jonstan, thought you'd like to know.
